Our next BULQ Reseller Spotlight is John George! Based in Indiana, John got his start in reselling when his wife “accidentally” won a pallet of baby items in an auction. Her purchase inspired him to try his own hand at reselling electronics, and the rest is history! Today, John manages a part-time electronics reselling business through his eBay store lovegod821 and through Facebook Marketplace.
We spoke with John to learn more about his reselling journey, including how he also balances a full-time job with being a husband and father of two! Read on to hear his story.
Reselling is becoming a family business!
What’s your typical workday like as a reseller?
I have a full-time job plus a six year old and a two year old, so I am only able to be a reseller part time. Most of my reselling activity takes place after the kids go to bed. I start by prepping shipments, then testing and listing items on eBay. Fortunately, sourcing can be done almost any time as long as I have an internet connection.
What is your favorite part of being a reseller?
I love the flexibility! I can sell as much, or as little, as I have time for.

What’s one thing you wish you knew before you started reselling?
I wish I would have known how addictive it is! My wife is always asking why I’m buying more merchandise when I already have a ton of stuff. I just can’t pass up a good deal!
What reselling milestone are you most proud of?
I really enjoyed surpassing the $10K in sales in 90 days mark. It was proof that I was becoming more efficient throughout the reselling process.
