Meet Reselling Mom | Taneisha Grace

Meet reselling mom, Taneisha. Like many resellers, she started selling items in her home after chatting with a friend already in the business! Taneisha started selling her old Beach Body DVDs and other classic items around the house,  and quickly realized that she could turn this hobby into a business. After taking a short hiatus from reselling, she recently started back up with more motivation than ever. Whether you’re a reselling mom getting back into the game or you’re just getting started, check out Taneisha’s tips in our latest reseller spotlight.

How has being a single mom inspired your drive for your business?

My kiddos make me believe anything is possible. They inspire me to do more and encourage me to want more, not just for them but also for myself. I’m not sure why I didn’t get back into reselling sooner, but the more I grow in my business, the more inspired I am to take action and seek out ways to expand. The possibilities are endless!

We often see your daughters helping you with your business in your Instagram content. What do they enjoy the most about helping their mom?

They really enjoy the unboxings. Sometimes they enjoy sourcing with me, but they are most excited to help unbox the items.

What reselling platforms do you sell your items on? Why did you choose those platforms over others?

eBay is my main platform. It’s the one I learned first, and the traffic is there. I do cross-list toPoshmark and Mercari sometimes, but I have to delete the item from those platforms because it sells on eBay first. eBay is amazing and has a lot of room for growth.

What reignited your reselling fire?

My passion for reselling came back after selling my own things that I didn’t need anymore and ordering my first BULQ box. My daughters and I did that unboxing, and it made me remember how much I enjoyed reselling in the past. Watching other resellers helped, too. I connected with these other resellers and received some great advice about starting fresh since I was just revamping my business. So far, it’s been great!

What advice would you give to resellers who are just getting started?

My biggest piece of advice is to just go for it. Don’t compare yourself to others as you begin building your brand. Start with selling things you own already and then keep going. Never be afraid to invest in your business either. Whether you do this part-time or full-time, it takes time to grow and success will come. Just be patient and keep moving forward. When sales are slower, keep listing and remind yourself why you started. Once you get the hang of it, diversify where you get inventory from so you can have a range of items. Lastly, I would say, sell what you know!
