Make way for style extraordinaire, Candice Berry!

Based in Kansas City, Missouri, Candice got her start by sourcing and selling discounted items from department stores. More than 10 years later, her reselling business is booming, offering a variety of clothing and toys across Amazon, Poshmark, Facebook Marketplaceand Mercari. Candice is also active on social media, sharing her inventory and reselling experiences on both Instagram (@savenbundle) and YouTube (Haleysmom).

We chatted with Candice to learn more about her reselling career, including what she wishes she knew before she got started. Check out our latest BULQ Reseller Spotlight with her interview below!

What inspired you to start your own business?

I needed a flexible schedule so I could raise my daughter, Haley. I’ve also worked in corporate America and realized I would enjoy working for myself A LOT more.

What is your favorite inventory to sell? 

My all time favorite inventory to sell is women’s clothing. I started with that and it’s been a constant in my store. Being a woman definitely helps!

What’s one thing you wish you knew before you started reselling? 

I wish I had had a structured inventory system, such as having all the same size bins and organization, before I started. When I started, I had no idea I would grow to over 1,800 items in my Poshmark closet. I would have also liked to have had a nice shipping station where everything would run like a well-oiled machine once an order came in.

What would you say to resellers who are just getting started? 

Make a business plan and be numbers oriented. Have a goal dollar amount per month, so then you’ll know how much you need to list per day and how much you need to sell each day. If you know your numbers and see them every day, you can manifest these goals into existence!
